This /now page lists what I've been doing recently. (As of June 2025).

Learning

In August 2024, I completed a Master's in Health Informatics. While my education up to now has been in healthcare, I've always loved technology. I often find myself trying to learn how to code or play with new technology, so I figured I may as well make it formal. I'm now working on filling in the gaps with additional skills and certifications.

Courses

I'm a perpetual digital hoarder of online courses. Here are a few I've been working on or completed recently:

Digital publishing & audiobook narration

I've helped a few colleagues and friends publish memoirs and books to the Kindle store.

I've narrated a couple chapters of an audiobook for LibriVox and hope to record a full book for a family member.

2025 Reading Challenge

2025 Reading Challenge
Nathan has read 21 books toward his goal of 36 books.
hide

I try to read 52 books a year, but usually fall well short of that, sometimes because I have small kids that make me tired, but mostly because I keep starting a new book before I'm finished with the current one!

I am often in the middle of one physical book, a few ebooks, and an audiobook.

Finally got back into working out at a 24-hour Fitness near me.

Also running and cycling, though not nearly as often as I'd like to.
